Bonaire has one of the most beautiful coral reefs in the world, with an abundance of fishes, corals, snails, turtles and much more.
When you go into the more rural areas, you will be amazed by all the birds, mammals and reptiles you see there. You will see plenty of wandering goats, donkeys, iguanas and other lizards. More than 200 bird species have been registered on Bonaire. Colourful hummingbirds fly around, small parrots can be heard and seen, and the small bananaquits will come to your table to eat sugar from your sugar-bowl.
Don’t miss a visit to the rugged and unique Washington Slagbaai National Park. This park covers almost one third of the island.
