The “capital city” of Bonaire, Kralendijk, is laid back and conveniently sized. It has a good-natured charisma and the building style is Caribbean with many pastel shades.
The main street has a lot of small shops, terraces and pleasant restaurants. At the same time the boulevard has many more restaurants with a view over the sail and fishing boats in the Caribbean sea. Furthermore, there are plenty of supermarkets on the island.
Klein Bonaire, the small uninhabited island located to the west of Bonaire, can be reached by watertaxi or rental boat. It’s a good place to spot seaturtles. Klein Bonaire is especially popular for its beautiful dive sites and its charming, tranquil sandy beach “No name beach’. It’s a perfect place to suntan, to have a picknick or a barbecue.
