Lac Bay is a 8 square kilometers big lagoon surrounded by coral reefs on the east side of Bonaire. It is one of the best surfing locations in the world, thanks to the knee deep water and favorable winds. Another good pastime in Lac Bay is spending a day on the beach, with a bite to eat or something to drink from one of the beach bars.
Lac Bay Cai has a nature reserve with a large mangrove forest, situated on the north side of Lac Bay. These natural nurseries for our coral reef fish can be visited with a nature tour aboard kayaks. Or you can snorkel in the mangroves for a truly unique experience.
